VACANCY – Appomattox Town Council
The Appomattox Town Council is accepting applications from interested persons willing to serve the unexpired term of a vacant Council seat.
Applications may be obtained from the Appomattox Municipal Building, 210 Linden Street, Appomattox, Virginia between the hours of 8:30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, by calling 434-352-8268 or on the Town’s website www.townofappomattox.com.
Completed application deadline is Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at 4:30 p.m.

Town Council is the governmental body of the Town of Appomattox. Comprised of six at-large members, Town Council is responsible for setting ordinances, adopting policies, and guiding the general direction of the Town. Town Council has two scheduled meetings each month, exact dates can be seen on the website calendar.
All Council Meetings are recorded. The DVD’s are edited to exclude periods of inactivity so that they fit a two-hour time period provided by Alive TV, a ministry of Gethsemane Baptist Church, Lynchburg, Virginia. The meetings are aired on Shentel Cable Channel 15.
Times: Friday following meetings – 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. and Saturday following meetings – 8:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
